Roads for lions and tigers
Vital for their care
Phase one of road building complete
South Africa’s summer rains left the dirt roads that connect our rescued lion and tiger habitats damaged, churned up, and often impassable. In addition to feeding and cleaning, some of our animals need medications twice a day.
Thanks to supporters, we have been able complete over 2 miles of internal roads, the arteries of our sanctuary – levelled, compacted, and surfaced with recycled road materials. Efficiency, care and safety of our animals have all benefitted.
Phase two additional roads and drainage
We are now expanding the project to add more roads and to install drainage ditches. Every donation helps and if you are able to make a substantial donation of $4,000 or more, you will be able to name a road and we will erect a road sign with your chosen name.
