Help us do more to protect animals

Bullfights are barbaric and have no place in civilised society – and now a bill banning this cruel sport has PASSED (28 May 2024).

ADI, as part of the Colombia Sin Toreo coalition, campaigned for many years for this legislation, raising awareness and working for a national ban on bullfighting. We also investigated and exposed illegal bullfights.

Step by step, as public opposition increased throughout Colombia, we moved closer to the day until the bill passed to make this brutal pastime no more, in spite of vested interests lobbying to prevent it.

ADI Colombia has had success ending cosmetics testing on animals, securing a ban on wild animals in circuses, ending trophy hunting imports and rescuing animals from the wildlife trade and circuses, and now to end the torture of bulls.
